Coach Accreditation
Cricket ACT will be running a level one coach accreditation course on Friday 29th of October 2010. Click here for a registration form.
Cricket Australia has just launched a whole new way of becoming an accredited coach.
The "INTRODUCTION TO CRICKET" course is now available on line and is a stand alone, officially accredited course. (It also makes up the first part of Cricket Australia's Level I course should you feel the desire to improve your coaching knowledge and skills even further in this skill activities based course held over one day!!)
The "INTRODUCTION TO CRICKET" course offers information designed to help the entry level coach across all the things that he/ she is likely to confront as a first time coach in an easy to navigate web site. Sections include umpiring, scoring and simple management tasks that often take the new coach by surprise.
Once the course is completed the candidate can print off their own certificate of accreditation and will have access to a whole range of further resources that the coach can choose to access.
To access the course simply go to http://www.cricket.com.au/default.aspx?s=coaching and click on the enrollment link.
Once you've completed the course satisfactorily, you will be accredited by the Australian Sports Commission in both introductory coaching and umpiring. You will also become a member of Cricket Coaches Australia for your two-year accreditation period, gaining you discounts on resources and access to the members'-only website at http://www.cca.cricket.com.au.
