Indigenous Gala Day
Early December 2009 saw Cricket ACT hold a COME N' TRY day at Boomanulla Oval for all indigenous primary schools children in the Canberra region. The day saw some 200 students from 15 schools in attendance. Students showed off some excellent cricket talent throughout the day with everyone having a fantastic time!
Each child also received a healthy lunch cooked by the staff and volunteers of Boomanulla oval. Every student who attended the day got to try out cricket in different modified games, ranging from 4 Wicket Cricket to Rapid Fire around Boomanulla Oval with the help of Cricket ACT staff along with indigenous students from Melrose High.. In great conditions all participates enjoyed themselves playing the great game of Cricket.

Cricket ACT hopes that the indigenous cricket day encourages young indigenous children to partake in Australia's greatest game.
