The Lord's Taverners Indigenous

Super 8's

Wednesday the 17th February saw 70 high school students from Queanbeyan High participate in the inaugural Lord's Taverners Super 8's gala day. The concept behind the day is to engage both indigenous and non indigenous youth through Cricket.

All participants played 4 matches of Super 8's with the Bushrangers taking the days overall honors. The day was played in great spirit and good sportsmanship which was a credit to the students and staff.

Cricket ACT and The Lords Taverners are committed to using such events as The Lords Taverners Indigenous Super 8's day to promote Cricket to the local indigenous community and to encourage harmony amongst participants of Australia's greatest game.
