Coordinator of the Year
Eastlake MILO in2 CRICKET coordinator Rewarded with Allan Border Medal Trip
Local MILO in2 CRICKET coordinator Denis O'Dea had a once in a lifetime experience recently when he attended the Allan Border Medal night as Cricket Australia's guest. Denis received the opportunity after he was nominated by Cricket ACT because of his ongoing commitment to the Eastlake MILO in2 CRICKET.
Denis has been involved with in2CRICKET for over 8 years and has been coordinator of the Eastlake Junior Cricket Club in2CRICKET programme for 5 years. In that time Eastlakes centre numbers have grown from just over 80 children to about 200 children. Denis is involved in cricket as it is a great team sport for children. "The in2CRICKET programme is excellent, as it provides the foundation skills for the game. in2CRICKET is also energetic and builds great team skills- everyone gets to have a go!" MILO in2CRICKET for the inner south of Canberra has been an excellent way of building the local community.
Each year Cricket ACT gets to nominate 1 MILO in2CRICKET coordinator who they believe has gone above and beyond expectations in regards to promoting Cricket within their area. The lucky recipient receives an all expenses paid trip to Melbourne to attend the Allan Border Medal.
