Girls want to learn cricket in a fantastic, fun, non-competitive environment away from the boys? Well here is the program for you!

  • Learn cricket skills and modified games for girls age 7-12 years run by CricketACT Staff and Meteor Players
  • Played using a soft ball and modified rules
  • An introduction to the game for girls who have had little or no experience of cricket
  • Program runs for 6 weeks in November/December
  • Northside and Southside

Meteor Mega Clinic

Cricket ACT would like to invite all girls to attend a Meteor Mega Clinic in 2011/12. This 1 hour clinic will be run by current Meteor players and staff. Girls will develop new skills, improve current skills and have plenty of fun.

This once a season opportunity to be coached by star players from the Meteors is open to all females of any standard and age

When - Thursday 24th November, 2011

Where - Manuka Oval

Who - Any Female beginner or advanced

Meteor for a Day

The Meteors are the premier women’s cricket team in the ACT. They boast former Australian representatives including current captain Kris Britt. Coming into their third season in the Women’s National Cricket League the Meteors are looking to go two better than last year’s third place and be a true contender for the title.

Currently Cricket ACT is seeking nominations from clubs for girls between the ages of 8-15 to be Meteor for a Day. Girls will be chosen for each of the home games during the WNCL one day match. Below is an outline of what will be included:

  • Arrive 1 hour prior to the game
  • Sit and be involved with the team for the duration
  • Toss the coin
  • Photo with Meteors captain and opposing captain
  • Walk on the field with a Meteor for each drinks break
  • A shirt and cap will be provided for each Junior Meteor
  • Players to sign autographs

Clubs have until Friday 14th October to get their nominations in to Cricket ACT.
