NSW SpeedBlitz Blues and Sydney Thunder all rounder Sean Abbott will replace Mitchell Marsh for next Friday’s Prime Ministers XI match at Manuka Oval.
Marsh who was originally named in the PM’s XI team was named in the Australian Twenty20 squad on Monday to play against India after displaying strong form during the recent Big Bash tournament with the Perth Scorchers.
Abbott 19, burst onto the scene in 2010 playing for the NSW Blues in both the Ryobi and Big Bash formats. He is currently a rookie contract player with the NSW Blues and played a vital role with the Sydney Thunder as an all rounder. The all rounder is currently playing for the NSW Second XI v ACT at Chisholm Oval alongside former Test players Nathan Hauritz, Usman Khawaja and Trent Copeland securing 4 wickets in the 3 day match. He looks set to also play in a one day match today for NSW against ACT at Chisholm Oval.
