Mack received the phone call from selectors following her stellar performance on Sunday, closing out an amazing day of individual achievements for the 24 year old.

Mack was instrumental in the Meteors 66 run win against Queensland Fire on Sunday, scoring 113* off 125 balls to propel the blue & gold to their second win of the series.

The CAXI side will travel to Brisbane next week to play two fifity over tour matches against England before the Women's Ashes series commences on October 22.

With the Meteors not playing their next WNCL game until late November, Mack says it is the perfect opportunity for more match practice.

"There's a lack of one-day games we get to play so this is going to add to that and will test out what I've been working on at a higher level," Mack said.

"Playing against England, if you perform, it could lead to anywhere. But I think about that every game I play."

Speaking on the selection of the CAXI, Cricket Australia Female High Performance Coach Leah Poulton said:

“To have a CAXI include in this series is really exciting and it’s a great chance for the players who have been selected to test themselves against the number one team in the world.”

“Opportunities like this ensure we continue to develop the players capable of representing Australia in the future and adding to the depth of talent in Australian cricket.”
