Round 3 of McDonalds ACT Women’s Premier – Glenda Hall Shield

Unfavorable conditions ruled out the first game of the round at Kingston Oval early Sunday morning. With the game to be allocated as a draw, Western District UC and Eastlake will hold the third and fourth position on the ladder.

Tuggeranong v Weston Creek-Molonglo

Weston Creek-Molonglo won the toss and elected to bat. Shelly Chattin and Kristen Burrowes both scored half centuries, delivering a partnership of 80 runs.

Chattin (57) and Burrowes (66*) got their team to a massive total of 5-167.

In the end, the total was too high for Tuggeranong only making a total of 4-125 after the full 20 overs.

Mikayla Gleeson got the highest runs of 27* hitting 3 sixes.

North Canberra-Gungahlin v Ginninderra

North Canberra-Gungahlin is looking like the team to beat posting three wins in their first three rounds and sitting comfortably on the top of the ladder.

Batting highlights saw Catherine McGregor (29) and Adelaide Jones (39) score majority of the runs reaching a total of 2-113.  Jill Sheppard from North Canberra-Gungahlin also performed with the ball taking three wickets for 19 runs off her four overs.  

Ginninderra failed to keep up with the run rate making a total of 6-100.
