The finals of the ISC Indoor Bash took place last weekend at Action Indoor Sports Kambah with Weston prevailing in all three divisions.
In second grade, the minor premiers Weston White took on Kambah who were coming in hot after an incredible run chase in the preliminary final against Kaleen Green including 41 from the bat of Rob Nicholas. Kambah batted first and set 94 with Jacob Paton (19) leading from the front before Weston White put together a well measured run chase with player of the grand final Toby Keen (25) leading his side to victory.
It was a very up and down match in third grade with Weston White taking on Kambah Red. Weston White managed to get to 97 runs halfway through their innings with Kambah Red fighting back to keep Weston White to only 1 run from the next eight overs in an incredible display. The response from Kambah Red fell 13 runs short of the target despite a pair of 37 from Ryan Hays and Drew Armstrong. Weston White player Danny Gair proving the difference between the two sides making 26 runs and taking 3/-10.
In the final for the Women’s division, the undefeated Weston Purple elected to bat, putting 104 runs on the board despite a solid bowling performance from Elizabeth Coper-Jones who took 2/1. Weston Black fell 44 runs short in response with Bronwyn Calver being named player of the grand final for Weston Purple, making 20 with the bat and taking 4/-16.
