After battling to break into the NSW squad, Erin burns made the tough decision to chase her dreams with the newly formed Tasmania Roar.
In hindsight, her struggles in Sydney were fortunate, as she has forged a glittering career since joining the Roar in 2009.
After winning the state’s Player of the Year Award in 2009-10, Burns has continued to assert herself as one of the game’s most dangerous allrounders.
She has also caught the eye of national selectors having made the Australian Shooting Stars 2012 Tour of NZ and Shooting Stars squad in 2012-13.
Her 2013-14 season was quiet for her high standards, hampered by injury, her best performance was 56 vs QLD in the early stages of the season.
She will be looking to get back on the national radar while playing for the Roar and Hobart Hurricanes in the WBBL.
