Eight players from the ACT have been selected to represent Australia at the 2019 Masters World Series for Indoor Cricket from the 19th to the 26th of October 2019 in South Africa.
After a successful campaign which saw the side come away with the national title, four 40 & Over players have been selected to represent their country. Vinesh Bennett, Jason Hays, Billy Floros and Nathan Rennie are set to go away with Jason Hays enjoying an incredible tournament, leading the charts statistically as the best player across every division.
The 45 & Over side had both Preston Hart and Rodney May selected to tour South Africa. A particularly impressive effort from Rodney May who suffered an injury which saw him in doubt as to whether he would be able to play in the tournament at all.
For the 50 & Over side, Ted Hempstead was named the Player of the Series for the entire competition, he is set to be joined by Chris Henry
The focus for Indoor Cricket in the region now shifts to the ACT finals of the National Indoor Cricket League which are set to be held on the 23rd of June at Kaleen Indoor Sports followed by the ACT Rockets departing to defend their national title on the 28th of June in Victoria.
