Cricket NSW have announced that Jake Floros will be the head coach of the ACT Southern Districts Academy squad and play a leading role in developing talented young cricketers in the region. 

Floros was a talented junior cricketer himself, representing ACT at the Under 17 level until an injury forced an early retirement. He has been coaching representative cricket for the last seven years alongside running a sports coaching business in Canberra. 

In 2014, Floros was a finalist in the Young Australian of the Year Awards, nominated for his coaching and his role as an ambassador for the Australian Red Cross. In 2017 he won the Cricket ACT Coach of the Year award for his great work with the under 12 school sports team. 

Cricket NSW has also announced this years 17-player squad. Congratulations to all players selected.
