The customer-owned bank said the partnership will focus on supporting the local cricket community, its players, supporters and volunteers.
“Community is part of our DNA at Beyond Bank, it is at the heart of everything we do,” said Ross Lloyd, State Manager at Beyond Bank.
“I’m also a passionate cricket supporter and so I respect the proud culture of Cricket ACT which puts a big value on the contribution week in week out of its community and their importance to the fabric of the game.”
In addition to becoming the official bank of Cricket ACT, Beyond Bank will also be providing support to umpires and scorers, indoor cricket and the Premier cricket competition.
“The strong community minded values of Beyond Bank and Cricket ACT creates a great synergy which we hope will provide greater support for our cricketing community,” said Cricket ACT CEO James Allsopp.
“Beyond Bank will invest their expertise into Cricket ACT and our clubs as well as support our members through various initiatives.”
One of those initiatives is the bank’s Community Reward Account which allows account-holders to nominate their favourite club or community group and, each year, on their behalf, the bank will donate a percentage of savings to the organisation.
Beyond Bank will also support a Monthly Award to volunteers who ensure matches are played each week and give their valuable time to support the game in Canberra.
The award is a Community Reward Account to the value of $250.
