Cricket ACT is passionate about partnering with local businesses and supporting the growth of junior cricket which is why we’re so pleased that Capital Chemist is now the naming rights partner for the next two seasons of the Thunder Girls League.
The Capital Chemist Thunder Girls League provides competitive matches for girls across the ACT and Queanbeyan between the ages of 11 and 16 years old.
The new partnership will support the ongoing 30% growth of girls’ cricket across the region. Matthew Phelps, Cricket ACT General Manager, Commercial confirmed “The number of girls playing cricket is growing exponentially each season and Capital Chemist will allow Cricket ACT to invest greater resources via coaching programs, gala days and increase the exposure of the game via our channels.”
Melita Flynn, Capital Chemist Community Program Manager, said “We are proud to reignite a partnership with Cricket ACT. We are delighted to support the growth of girls playing cricket and provide resources which will foster a greater connection with the game.”
The Canberra community supports Capital Chemist and they want to return the favour. Melita added, “Supporting the local community has been the cornerstone of our business for decades and we want to one day say that we played a role in developing a young player who goes onto play for the ACT Meteors or Australia.”
