PERFORMANCE OF THE MATCH

After playing 141 first-grade matches in Canberra, Western District player/coach Blake Dean made the decision that his eighth two-day grand final appearance would be his last.

The all-rounder played a lone hand in Wests first innings, scoring 117 from 166. Both teams formed a guard of honour for Dean at the conclusion of the match.
