David is the current High Performance Coach- Female at Cricket Tasmania and brings with him a combination of experience, qualifications and a passion for developing top-level cricketers.
The ACTive Cricket program was launched in January this year to provide young cricketers in the Canberra Region with the opportunity to enhance their cricket skills and general conditioning while utilising our brand new state-of-the-art high performance centre in Phillip.
ACTive Cricket is split into two separate programs, an Academy program run during school terms and Development Clinics delivered over the school holidays.

He was also a school teacher from 20 years in NSW and also played and coaching in the Sydney Grade competition at Bankstown.
Commencing in the role in early April, David is looking forward to joining the local Cricket ACT team
“I am looking forward to developing cricketers who are able to play and represent Cricket ACT with skill, distinction and pride,” said David Drew
“This is an exciting opportunity to work across Male and Female programs and to promote the values and expectations of the organisation.”
The next ACTive Cricket Development Clinics will occur in the April school holidays with Drew encouraging as many young emerging cricketers to get involved.
“Young cricketers should get involved in the ACTive program if they love the game and want to improve their skills, knowledge and enjoyment,”
“You want to make any program enjoyable but also make sure all participants walk away better players and people for the experience.”
