Cricket Australia have announced Abode Hotels ACT Meteors Head Coach David Drew as the coach of the this years Governor-General's XI. 

The annual Governor-General's match, inspired by the traditional Prime Minister's XI game, will pit some of the best young female players in Australia against a touring team.

Now in its fourth year, this summer’s GG's XI match will be a 50-over fixture against New Zealand at Drummoyne Oval on 28 February. The match will be played in between the second and third One-Day Internationals of the Commonwealth Bank Women's International Series against New Zealand, and will be broadcast live on Fox Cricket. 

Abode Hotels ACT Meteors Assistant Coach Michael Barrington will be one of Drew's assistant for this fixture along with CA High Performance Coach Leah Poulton. 

Selectors have named the following players to take part in this year’s Governor-General’s XI match. Entry to the match is free.
