The ACT Emerging Meteors are through to the grand final of the Under 15 Margaret Peden Shield with the final being played at Raby Sports Complex this Sunday. The grand final is being played against North Shore on 25th November at 10am as part of the Districts Cricket Association competition. The ACT Emerging Meteors came second in the ladder.

In their semi-final, the Emerging Meteors played against Manly Warringah and took an impressive victory.

After 39.2 overs, Manly were bowled out for 66 runs, with Amelia Sims topping the score card with 17 runs. Jade Allen dominated the bowling attack with 3 wickets and 5 maidens off 8 overs, supported by Mia Phelps taking 2/23 off 8 overs.

Jade Allen topped the batting order with 26 not out, while Manly’s Sienna James attempted to keep the run rate low taking 1/8 after 3 overs. ACT Emerging Meteors achieved their target in only 16.2 overs totalling 4/67 and making it through to the grand final.


The Emerging ACT Comets in the Under 15 EG Weblin Shield are through to the qualifying finals with their match against Parramatta occurring at home. The game will be a Freebody Oval on Sunday 25th November at 10am.

All other ACT Emerging teams are still completing their final rounds prior to finals beginning.
