Reigning National Champions ACT Rockets are ready to embark on their title defence at the 2018 Indoor National Championships which starts this Saturday in Toowoomba, QLD.

The ACT Rockets have won two of the past three men's open titles, missing out on the 2016 trophy in the decider against Queensland.

Vice-Captain of the Rockets Timmy Floros said the side is confident that they will again be one of the teams to beat.

“We’ve been pretty strong over the last few years so I think a lot of teams will be trying to chase us and knock us off the top,” said Floros

“I’m pretty confident we can take home another title this year.

“It would be pretty special to win back to back titles.”

The team will be without international representative Vinesh Bennett who retired after the 2017 World Cup, but have welcomed Sam Dwyer back into the squad.

The ACT Rockets will open their campaign against long-time rivals Queensland on Saturday 30th June at 7.00pm, led by captain Matthew Floros.

The final of the tournament will be played on Saturday 7th July.
