After a record setting tournament in 2018, the Canberra Southern Cross Club Kookaburra Cup for next year has already been announced. The tournament will be held from the 9th to the 11th of October 2019.

The annual pre-season tournament last year saw 750 local and interstate male and female junior cricketers aged between 10 – 16 participate.

Played in the lead up to the start of the junior cricket season, the Canberra Southern Cross Club Kookaburra Cup is a staple in the junior cricket calendar in the ACT and NSW.

Beginning in 2005, the Twenty20 tournament promotes participation and enjoyment for all and is open to players and teams of all abilities. Games will be at various venues all around the Canberra region.

Teams have eight players per side, competing in either cup or plate in Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 divisions for boys and Under 13s and Under 17s divisions for girls over the three days

This tournament has featured prominent names in the cricket community including Australian representatives Adam Zampa and Nic Maddinson.


Teams that register before the end of the current junior season (10th of March 2019) will receive a $50 discount in tournament fees. Registrations close on 26th of August 2019.
