After a long week of intense cricket, both the ACT Rockets and the ACT Under 21’s sides have qualified for the finals at the 2018 Australian Indoor Cricket Championships in Toowoomba.
The ACT Rockets find themselves in the top two after the group stage with one game remaining. Luke Ryan (126 runs and 15 wickets) and Tim Floros (144 runs and 16 wickets) find themselves at the top of the charts statistically after their performances so far.
The ACT Rockets will face Queensland in the major semi-final, which will be live-streamed through the Cricket Australia Indoor page from 3:00pm on Friday.
The ACT Under 21’s, who are coached by former Australian player and ACT Rocket Vinesh Bennett, have gone from strength to strength throughout the week, finishing fourth on the ladder. A highlight for the side being the nine-run victory over top contender Western Australia on Wednesday afternoon. Stuart Bridgen has been the standout player for the side with 111 runs and 12 wickets so far in the tournament.
The Under 21’s will take on either Queensland or South Australia in the minor semi-final, which will be live-streamed through the Cricket Australia Indoor page from 1:00pm on Friday.
