Cricket ACT Hall of Famer, life member and Queanbeyan legend Peter Solway has been named captain of the Australian Over 50's side to play a three-games series against New Zealand in Brisbane in late August 2021.

In 2018, Solway captained the winning Australian side at the inaugural Over 50's Cricket World Cup held in Sydney, defeating Pakistan in the final by just three runs in a nail-biting finish. He was also selected for another World Cup to be played in South Africa, but the tournament was cancelled because of COVID-19.
