Abode Hotels ACT Meteor Chloe Rafferty has put pen to paper and inked a new one-year deal with the Hobart Hurricanes ahead of WBBL|07.

The 22-year old seamer joined the Hurricanes last summer, making her debut in purple against her old side in the Melbourne Stars, before going on to play the final three games of the season for the Hurricanes.

“I can’t wait to get around the Hurricanes girls again and am really grateful that Sall [head coach Salliann Beams] has again shown faith in my ability to contribute to the squad." Rafferty said.

“Last year we were obviously in a pretty unique environment being in the hub in Sydney for the whole tournament, so this year – hopefully – I’m looking forward to getting on the road with the team, but also really looking forward to finally getting to play in front of our home fans in Tasmania.”

Rafferty joined the Meteors in late 2020 as a replacement player for the injured Zoe Cooke and was upgraded to a full WNCL contract ahead of the upcoming summer.

The Meteors season will start on September 25 against Western Australia in Adelaide. View full fixtures here.
