Cricket ACT has welcomed the ACT Government’s release of their ‘The ACT’s COVID-19 Pathway Forward’ plan in anticipation of the Territory-wide lockdown being lifted on October 15.

It was extremely pleasing to see the phased return of community sport outlined in the plan. Whilst we understand this plan is subject to vaccination targets being met and future public health advice, Cricket ACT can now plan for the commencement of the cricket season with added confidence and excitement.

We now encourage everyone in the cricketing community to get ready for a big summer of cricket ahead.

Whether you play every year, haven’t played for a while, or are brand new to cricket – there is a cricket club and competition to suit.

Cricket ACT and Cricket NSW will now continue to work with clubs and the community to confirm the details for the season ahead and provide our support to ensure we all abide by the necessary requirements to ensure our return to the field is as safe as possible.

Grab a friend and get down to the nets to refresh your skills – the cricket season is almost here.
