The 2018/19 edition of the Rockets Cup is now in full swing. This competition provides a platform for players to stake their claim for a spot in the 21 & Under Men’s ACT side, as well as the ACT Rockets Open Men.

The ACT Rockets will be hoping to continue its recent success at the Indoor Cricket National Championships, after claiming three of the last four national titles, and appearing in four consecutive grand finals. The 21 & Under Men will be looking to build on last year’s effort, which resulted in their first top 4 finish.

“The Rockets Cup sees the best players in the region compete to be selected for the ACT Open Men's and 21 & Under Men’s teams. This competition provides great visibility to the talent in Canberra as well as fast and skilled indoor cricket” said ACT Rockets coach Billy Floros.

“With the success of the Rockets and mentoring of the Under 21’s over the last three years, this year will provide a situation that ACT has not been in for quite some time, having greater competition for players to be selected.”

The 2019 Indoor Cricket National Championships will be held at a brand-new facility, Casey Stadium, in Melbourne’s East, between 29th June and 13th July 2019. Australian touring teams for Open and 22 & Under Men and Women will be selected at the conclusion of the tournament for the 2019 Trans-Tasman Series in Christchurch, New Zealand, from 5th – 7th September 2019.
