North Canberra-Gungahlin v Western District – UC

Wickets did not stop falling for North Canberra-Gungahlin, all out for 84. The Western District - UC bowlers were too strong with Tom Engelbrecht taking five wickets and setting up the away team for a comfortable win. With a reduced batting total and an aggressive batting opposition, North Canberra - Gungahlin stepped up to the competition taking five wickets before their total was overtaken.

Ginninderra v ANU

Another high scoring game involving ANU was played at Kippax Enclosed Oval on Saturday. ANU won the toss and elected to bat. After an ANU score of 7/280, Ginninderra fought hard although they fell short, all out for 210. Daniel Leerdam was the star of the game scoring a career best 102 runs from 123 balls.

ANU’s batting looks to be the strongest so far posting the highest total score in the last three rounds

Queanbeyan v Eastlake

Queanbeyan recorded their second win of the season in a thrilling team performance.  Remarkably without a half century recorded on the scoresheet, Queanbeyan were able to post 247 within their 50 overs. With a steady run rate, Eastlake were looking likely to win the game until Mark Solway took a wicket in the 40th over.  Six overs later and Eastlake lost four quick wickets and fell short at a total of 210.  Vele Dukoski finishing on bowling figures of 3/23 off eight overs.

Tuggeranong v Weston Creek Molonglo

Weston Creek Molonglo triumphed over Tuggeranong on Saturday with their brilliant wicket taking abilities. Harry Medhurst was the star of the game ending Tuggeranong’s chances of winning by taking two wickets, two catches, one runout and scoring 30 runs with the bat.
