Ginninderra's Cameron Suidgeest has been named in the Australian Country Merit team following the recent Toyota Australian Country Cricket Championships. 

Suidgeest played for the NSW Country Bush Blues in the Championships who won the title in a hard fought match against Queensland Country on January 7. 

Suidgeest was one of the leading wicket takers in the final, taking 3-25, to help his side to victory.

He also finished the Championships as the leading wicket-taker with 20 wickets for an average of 10.4. His best figures were 4-14. 

Ben Mitchell and Tom Engelbrecht were the two other ACT representatives in the Bush Blues squad. 

Engelbrecht's best figures came in Round 5 against Queensland Country with 3-14 while Mitchell claimed 8-wickets with best figures of 2-17.
