Canberra cricket fans can start preparing for the upcoming summer of cricket at Manuka Oval with tickets going on sale from 2pm on Monday 5th July.

Manuka Oval is set to host the world cup winning Australian women’ team for the standalone Test match of the Commonwealth Bank Women’s Ashes series from January 27-30 2022 and the Australian men’s side in a Dettol Men’s T20I v New Zealand on February 8.

Australian women’s vice-captain Rachael Haynes said the team was excited to be returning to Canberra as part of the upcoming Ashes series.

“We’ve played a lot of white ball cricket at Manuka Oval with the WBBL and international fixtures so to have the opportunity to play a test match there is something the playing group are really looking forward to,” Haynes said.

“We always receive really good support from the local crowd there and we are looking forward to the local community getting behind us.”
