Grants & Infrastructure

We’re committed to supporting you.

Cricket ACT is committed to collaboratively partnering with the ACT Government, clubs and schools as well as other sports, to create a safe, inclusive and healthy environment for participants, spectators, officials and volunteers.

The Cricket ACT Infastructure Strategy  (CACTIS) sets the strategic direction and provides the ACT cricket community and its stakeholders with clear priorities to investment into cricket infrastructure.

The objective of the CACTIS is to:

Establish an evidence base to advocate for investment into cricket infrastructure in the ACT.

Identify key priority investment areas that are strategically important for the growth of the game.

Ensure all existing and future facilities are fit-for-purpose and meet Cricket Australia’s Community Cricket Facility Guidelines.

Create a sustainable approach to facility development and investment.

Build the capability and capacity of Cricket ACT, affiliated clubs and the broader cricket community to advocate, maintain and manage cricket facilities.

This Strategy will strengthen the rationale for continued investment into cricket infrastructure across the Territory. In conjunction with the Community Impact of Cricket in the ACT Study, it also helps build a case for increased and strategic investment by the ACT Government and other key stakeholders into key areas and infrastructure to support growing interest and participation in the game.

ACIF | Strategic Cricket Infrastructure Funding (SCIF)

The SCIF category of the ACIF aims to deliver on the strategic priorities of Australian Cricket through the support of key facility projects.

Projects submitted to the Strategic Cricket Infrastructure Funding category will:

  • Provide benefits to the cricket community.
  • Contribute to increasing participation across a broader area or region.
  • Involve multiple stakeholders and contributors.
  • Deliver outcomes against Australian Cricket’s strategic priorities (e.g. leading sport for women and girls, create the best experiences to grow junior cricket etc.).

The project can relate to any aspect of the facility, with multi-faceted projects that incorporate the addition and/or upgrade of multiple components within a facility being highly regarded.
