The ACT Meteors will play their final away matches in the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) season this week against Victoria in Melbourne.
The Meteors will play tomorrow, Tuesday, 16 January and again on Thursday, 18 January in rounds 9 and 10 of the WNCL at the Junction Oval, with the squad in Melbourne today and completing their final preparations at the CitiPower Centre.
Only one change has been made to the squad that flew west to Perth in early January, with Chloe Rafferty coming into the squad for Jannatul Sumona.
Head Coach Erin Osborne said the series in Melbourne still represents an opportunity for the squad to test themselves against a Victorian side boosted by the return of several Australian representatives.
“We have learnt a lot from our recent games against WA and we look forward to putting those lessons into practice against an experienced Victorian squad.”
The remaining two rounds of the season will be played on home soil at EPC Solar Park against New South Wales on Tuesday, 30 January and Thursday, 1 February.
