ACT Meteors finalise squad for 2025/26 WNCL campaign

The Intravision ACT Meteors have confirmed their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) season, with a blend of international experience, local talent, and emerging stars set to represent the Territory this summer.

As announced recently, the Meteors will welcome former English-capped all-rounder Georgia Elwiss, alongside local signings Rachel Carroll and Stella Wilde, adding depth and versatility to the squad.

The 2025/26 squad features 15 fully contracted players and one rookie, reflecting the Meteors’ commitment to both performance and player development.

The team will once again be guided by head coach Erin Osborne, a former Australian international and respected figure in the women’s game, who continues to lead the program with passion and purpose.

"We’re really excited about the squad we’ve assembled. It’s a great mix of experience and emerging talent, and we’re confident this group can build on the foundations we’ve laid in recent seasons." Osborne said.

"We’re especially proud to see so much local talent in this year’s squad. The additions of Stella Wilde and Rachel Carroll, alongside homegrown players like Zoe Cooke and Grace Lyons, are a testament to the strength of our ACT pathway programs.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see our development systems producing players ready to compete at this level."

The Meteors bid farewell to several key players including former captain Katie Mack who departs after an incredible 12-year career with the ACT, returning to the NSW Breakers. The team also thanks Chelsea Moscript and Alisha Bates for their contributions and wishes them all the best.

A new captain and leadership group for the 2025/26 season will be announced in the coming weeks.

The ACT Meteors will begin their WNCL campaign in October, with fixtures to be released shortly.
