Over the past three decades, she has been a tireless advocate for inclusivity and opportunity in cricket, helping to shape a more equitable and vibrant sporting landscape in the ACT.
As President of Lord’s Taverners ACT, Nanette has played a pivotal role in ensuring that young people from all backgrounds have the chance to participate in the sport they love. Her leadership has helped provide vital resources, from equipment to travel support, for aspiring cricketers, especially girls and young women striving to reach elite levels.

Nanette’s journey with Cricket ACT spans more than 30 years. Her early support for women’s cricket was instrumental in raising awareness and driving change at a time when female participation was still gaining momentum. “Raising awareness is the first step in making change,” she told Cricket ACT.
Her efforts have not only helped grow the game but have also inspired others to invest in the future of women’s sport.
Since retiring, Nanette has continued her advocacy through Lord’s Taverners, championing initiatives that empower the next generation of cricketers.
