The Intravision ACT Meteors will kick-start their 2026/27 Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) campaign at home against cross-town rivals NSW.
The Meteors will once again contest 12 matches across the season, with Cricket Australia today releasing the full womens domestic fixture for the summer ahead.
With an opening-round bye, the Meteors will launch their season with a pair of highly anticipated clashes against NSW at EPC Solar Park on 15 and 17 December.
The team will then hit the road for away rounds against Queensland, South Australia and Victoria, while welcoming Western Australia and Tasmania to the nation's capital later in the season.
The opening round clash with NSW will also be the side’s first under the leadership of new Head Coach Clive Rose, whilst Carly Leeson will continue to lead the team as captain.
With an unchanged squad preparing for the season ahead, Rose said the team now has a clear direction to challenge for the Meteor’s inaugural Ruth Preddey Cup.
"We're excited for what's ahead and having the fixture confirmed gives everyone a strong focus as we continue our preparations for the season," Rose said.
"Starting with two matches against NSW is a fantastic opportunity to begin the campaign in front of our home supporters. There are no easy games in the WNCL, but we're looking forward to testing ourselves against every team and building momentum throughout the summer.
"We've got a talented group of players who are working hard, and there's a real sense of excitement around what we can achieve together this season. We can't wait to get out on the field and represent the ACT."
The Meteors will also once again get the opportunity to compete in the T20 Spring Challenge, a warm-up to the WBBL season to be held in Sydney from October 12-20.
Every ball of the WNCL will be streamed live across cricket.com.au, Cricket Australia Live app and Kayo Sports. The WNCL Final will also be broadcast on Fox Cricket.
